Hi, I’m Maddie,
I’m a thirty-something ex-corporate workaholic;
I’m a running, dog and yoga lover (and aspiring handstand-er);
I’m on the pendulum between extrovert and introvert (it really depends on the day);
I’m a born Londoner but a countryside convert and you’ll find me most weekends in my van in the Peak District or using Park Run as an excuse to swing by my favourite coffee and pastry spots.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked in a number of fields from large scale outdoor festivals/events to the Higher Education sector and I specialised in Staff/Volunteer, Project and Event Management. Most recently, I spent a little under six years working in Project Management for Recruitment Operations at a major University.
However, in 2023, I had an entire life pivot and with the support of a wonderful coach, I pursued my dream of training as a yoga teacher. After years of telling myself that this wasn’t a lifestyle that belonged to me, I plucked up the courage to grab hold of what I wanted.
The process of bravely going after my dreams, going inward through eye-opening yoga training and getting completely out of my comfort zone, brought a lot of questions to the surface:
Did I truly love my 9-5?
Was the life I had built around me serving me or was I serving it?
Why did feel like I lived on auto pilot?
Was there something more out there for me?
I had to be honest with myself, I think these feelings had been there for some time but I hadn’t been ready to take a good look at them.
However, the more I held and explored these questions, the more clear my next steps become and so after some umming and ahhing, I made the decision to leave the corporate world to pursue yoga and coaching full time (with a sprinkling of freelancing on the side).
Coaching and yoga have enabled me to become more aligned with who I am and what I want; overcoming imposter syndrome and helping me to prioritise my physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
It is for this exact reason that I now dedicate myself to sharing these transformative practices with you. I will use my experience to support you to come into your power and find the life you’ve always dreamed of.
I have coached staff in the workplace for many years but I am currently formalising this and deepening my practice with a Diploma in Transformative Coaching with Animas as well as, working towards gaining my accreditation with the International Coaching Federation.
I am also a 200 hour qualified and registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance, specialising in Vinyasa and Hatha. In addition, I have recently completed an additional 50 hour qualification in Yin.
Join me as we embark on a transformative experience together.
